Why Italy?

From the very beginning, we bonded over our shared passion for travel and exploring new places. We've made some of our most special memories together while journeying around the world. It only seemed fitting for us to get married in a new place neither of us had ever been. This purposefully intimate wedding promises shared adventure and an authentic celebration of the meaningful connections we hold dear. We can't wait to create lasting memories in this enchanting corner of the world, surrounded by the people who mean the most to us!

How We Met

We owe it all to our friend Ben. I met Ben doing Israel advocacy on campus at Columbia University. For months, Ben told me about his good friend Adam who was "perfect for me." I was skeptical but eventually agreed to a date. On a freezing Sunday in January, we met for a drink at Thief, a neighborhood cocktail bar in Williamsburg. Adam was a gentleman and didn’t even fuss about making the trip from the Upper West Side. We clicked immediately and extended the date to dinner. Adam walked me home in a blizzard, which in any other circumstance would have been miserable, but this one felt like a scene from a movie. When I got home, I called my mom (naturally), who, after hearing about the date, was convinced Adam was “the one.” We went on 2 more dates that week, and the rest is history. -Danielle

The Proposal

A magical 24 hours in Bali. It all began with sunset drinks while admiring the stunning jungle views of Ubud. We continued that night with a private candlelit dinner on the river decorated with flowers. At the end of the meal, the waitress brought Danielle a bouquet of red roses, and Danielle thought I was about to propose. She now calls this the ultimate proposal 'fakeout.' The following morning, we explored the Tegalalang rice terraces at sunrise. There, alone in the jungle, I asked Danielle to marry me. She was in full-on waterworks before I finished my first sentence. I squeezed in everything I wanted to say between her sobs of excitement. We ended that morning with an amazing tour of local temples and a coffee plantation, where we tried civet coffee (look it up!). At this point, Danielle thought the proposal was over, but little did she know I had arranged for our villa grounds to be covered in flowers while we were out. She was absolutely shocked when we returned to the villa that afternoon, greeted by an abundance of flowers, which I captured in a priceless video. That evening, I gave her a custom photo book documenting our love story before we enjoyed a chef's tasting menu at a local restaurant. -Adam
